Citizenship
Integrity
Accountability
A classical education offers a deeper, lasting preparation for college, careers and living a meaningful life by encouraging its two guiding principles—wisdom and virtue. It provides the academic excellence and moral framework to encourage students to pursue the what, why, how and who of ideas and decisions. It supports the development of our young people who then, own their power, enrich their lives and the lives of others.

Culture
BCA’s culture will be one that instills in each individual scholar a love for learning that develops him or her into lifelong independent learners, whether he or she will be going to college or preparing in other ways to be a productive and responsible citizen. The school culture will instill the respect for self-accountability, personal integrity, and respect for civic responsibility. Scholars will understand the need to use their critical thinking skills to make moral decisions in their community. They will learn they can make positive societal changes rather than let others decide their fate. BCA’s culture will concentrate on the virtues of citizenship, integrity, humility, respect, self-esteem, self-control, and kindness. Through the above, scholars will be able to pursue truths, and see the goodness and beauty of our country and world.
Mission
At Bradenton Classical Academy, it is our mission to develop lifelong learners through a content-rich classical education in liberal arts, sciences, personal character and the American civic virtue. Every educational institution sets the worthy goal of improving learning outcomes with methods that are supported by concrete evaluation. At Bradenton Classical Academy, we set our sights higher.  Curricular and extracurricular offerings support our scholars to excel academically, communicate effectively, act virtuously, possess cultural literacy and grow into productive members of American society. A time-tested liberal arts pedagogy directs achievement toward mastery of fundamentals in the core academics, exploration of arts and sciences, and understanding of the foundational tenets of western heritage. We focus on the importance of individual accountability, integrity and respect for citizenship to understand and defend the principles that were used to found America and to see the beauty and truth in our world.
Vision
Our vision is for a nation of scholars who ponder the deepest questions of truth, justice, beauty and opportunity for all and who engage wholeheartedly in the foundation of America. The Bradenton Classical Academy strives to cultivate human excellence. It trains scholars to be stewards of Western tradition and pillars of a free society. This means we provide a broad, classical education that allows our students to understand the highest matters and contemplate the deepest questions rather than funneling their young minds toward a specific trade, profession or skill set. It is our purpose to nurture the child’s humanity with a steady view of the potential adult.
Strong Curriculum for Grades K-12
Curriculum is built on a core of math, science, literature, and history—with robust content beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through high school graduation. In addition to the core subjects, students receive sound instruction in English and foreign languages and in music, art, and physical education. Our comprehensive civics program culminates in year-long courses in philosophy and government for high school seniors.
Respect for All
Bradenton Classical Academy does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, age, national origin (ancestry), or disability of students, staff, volunteers, service providers or vendors.
Barney Charter School Initiative
Bradenton Classical Academy is currently in the application process for affiliation with Hillsdale College and hope to have that completed in the near future.
The Barney Charter School Initiative (BCSI) is an outreach program of Hillsdale College devoted to the revitalization of public education through the launch and support of classical K-12 charter schools. ... Since that time, BCSI has assisted in the launch of dozens of schools across the country.
Training for classical educators
Hillsdale College teaches schools how  to provide an education that is both classical and American in its orientation; one that is rooted in the liberal arts and sciences, offers a firm grounding in civic virtue, and cultivates moral character.
